At the beginning of March, Marion had asked for examples of negative thinking and how I had experienced "The Secret" in my life. On March 5th, I replied: "Why does The Secret work for everyone else and not me? Will we ever move out of this basement apartment?" She answered, "The Secret is working for you already," and gave me an affirmation: "We are/I am living in a beautiful apartment that suits both of us and loving every minute of it!!!"

I loved this - it was like a lifesaver thrown to a drowning person and melted away all my fears and doubts! It is really that simple, I said to myself, and immediately these details flowed into my awareness: It is above ground, light, spacious, and airy. It is quiet and spiritual. The rent, utilities included - with W/D - is well within our means. It has off-street protected parking for both cars and parking for guests. It has hardwood floors in beautiful condition. It is well constructed, insulated, and weatherproofed. It has a lawn/deck/balcony where we can enjoy being outdoors in privacy. Robin and I started to say these affirmations every day. Soon afterward I added, "Bring us the home that is ours and that we deserve."

Three weeks later, on Monday evening, March 26th, we received a letter from our landlords, saying they were raising the rent. We had wanted to move for a very long time, so we took this as the impetus to look for another place. I started looking on-line. Tuesday night we searched on-line for hours and found a listing that showed a gorgeous kitchen with tile floor and marble counters...and W/D, available June 1st! I emailed, asking for more information. Wednesday morning before leaving for work, I emailed a P.S. with my cell number. And I picked up newspapers to look for local listings (I found 14) to call that night. Then around 4 P.M., I received a call on my cell at work. It was a woman calling back about the email I had sent. When she heard my voice, she asked, "Is this Catherine from Braach's?" "Yes," I replied, "who is this?" "Lucy!" she exclaimed ... and we both started shrieking (so to speak) in total amazement at this miracle, because we knew each other through work!!!!! The present tenants had been waffling about moving, but had decided that morning that they would move out this weekend, so it had truly become available that morning. and she had started to call all who had inquired. My morning email was on top of all the responses, so she had decided to call me first, not knowing from the address that it was me. This was a miracle for both of us.

We met to see the duplex (2 floors with full basement) on my way home from work - - and I loved it! It was (almost) all that my affirmations had specified: light, airy, spacious; quiet and spiritual; with W/D; off-street parking for 1 car and plenty of easy on-street parking; hard-wood floor (LR) in beautiful condition; well-constricted, insulated, and weather-proofed; a small lawn - and a front garden - where we can enjoy being outdoors in privacy, especially because of the gorgeous granite outcropping on the back side of the house that gives privacy and protection. It is less than 2 miles from our present location next to Robin's sister.

Lucy volunteered to waive the security and lower the rent for us. Another miracle. I called Robin while we were at the site, and we said YES! with move-in date the first week in April. We contacted our present landlords (friends, who had wanted us to stay in their home forever) about this unexpected, sudden development. We went to meet Lucy at the duplex yesterday, and though it's somewhat smaller than our present location, Robin loves it's positive qualities, too. Today we can start moving things in to the kitchen and basement, because the whole place will be freshly painted and upstairs W/W carpets cleaned mid-week; the heavy furniture will be moved and we will sleep there on Friday the 6th. One month from the start of Marion's powerful affirmation. Wow! This is a miracle, this is The Secret. Thank you, dear Marion!!!

Now we're working on the "WELL within our means" details, with every confidence that abundance will continue to manifest in and for us.
